About
Presentation
Le French Rallye brings to London a well-established French tradition by which our teenage children are given an opportunity to share activities and parties, "the events", in a safe and enjoyable environment. To become a "Member", a child must be introduced by existing or former Members. Ensuring the balance between boys and girls and British and French schools is essential in the acceptation process.

Over three academic years, our children will be invited to:
-
Year 1: Monthly daytime activities for young people in year 10 or 3ème (French system) organised by the parents in groups of a maximum of 40 children. This group will be called Clarence in 2024-2025'. This Rallye is referred as "Le Petit Rallye". It is managed independently from le French Rallye though we are using a common website for practical purposes. Further information on Le Petit Rallye can be found on Le Petit Rallye page.
-
Year 2: Monthly evening parties for young people in year 11 and 2nde (French system). This group will be called Balmoral in 2024-2025.
-
Year 3: Monthly evening parties for young people in year 12 and 1ère (French system). This group will be called Windsor in 2024-2025.
Organisation
-
Le French Rallye is managed on a voluntary and non-for-profit basis by a group of parents or "Coordinators". Le French Rallye is a Company Limited by Guarantee and run by a Board of Directors. As mentioned above, Le Petit Rallye is not part of the legal entity Le French Rallye Ltd.
-
The role of Le French Rallye Coordinators is to coordinate and manage the list of Members and the smooth running of Le French Rallye.
-
Membership to Le French Rallye is granted upon an online application process which can be found on the apply page .
-
Upon confirmation of membership, parents will be kindly required to join a presentation meeting generally held in September.
-
Each Member’s parent commits to organise an activity (year 1) and co-host a party (year 2&3). The parents organising the events or “Host Parents” are fully responsible for the preparation and the good running of the activities or parties, abiding by the rules of the particular venue and those of the United Kingdom.
-
At events, Host Parents have the duty of caring for and supervision of the Members and must put in place whatever measures they deem necessary, according to the specifics of each venue, to provide a safe environment for the enjoyment of the Members.
-
Le French Rallye website was developed to allow for the electronic management of invitations, replies and check-in on the day/evening of the event, accessible in the Members section
Membership and Fees
-
Year 1: No membership fee. Each Member pays a contribution to the Host Parents when attending. The contribution covers their share of the activity costs. A Member can attend only if the contribution has been paid before the event. This contribution should not exceed an average £35 per event and per Member.
-
Year 2 & 3: An annual non-refundable membership fee of £120 for year 2 and year 3 is required at application. This membership fee allows Le French Rallye to organise surrock classes for year 2 Members and to reimburse specific party costs for both years. In addition to the membership fees, Members of year 2 and 3 must expect to contribute a recommended minimum of £500 for the party they organise (excluding the Host Parents' dinner).
-
Boarder Members are now considered for the purpose of Le French Rallye as full members and must contribute to organising an activity in year 1 and a party in year 2 and in year 3. An annual non-refundable membership fee of £120 for year 2 and year 3 is also required at application.
Responsabilities and Insurance
-
It is the responsibility of each Member’s parents to ensure their children are covered for the risks that he or she may face when attending an event.
-
Host Parents must contract a public liability cover under their names for the event they are organising. It covers the Host Parents in case of an accident which is the result of negligence on their part. Host Parents are specifically asked to provide Le French Rallye Coordinators with the proof of adequate public liability insurance contracted for the event.
-
Le French Rallye Coordinators and Host Parents cannot assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed or items Members may come in contact with or any other adverse medical conditions sustained during the events.
-
Le French Rallye Coordinators and Directors and Host Parents are not responsible for Members during transportation between their home and the event location.
-
Le French Rallye Coordinators and Directors cannot accept any responsibility for any incident arising in any way during and from any event.
-
Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children. Any damage and associated costs caused by a Member of Le French Rallye during a party will be the sole liability of the Member's parents
